Dr Wang's Biography

Dr Wang's Biography

From Darkness to Sight shares the remarkable life journey of Dr. Ming Wang, a world-renowned laser eye surgeon and philanthropist. It is an inspirational story of how one man turned fear, poverty, persecution, and prejudice into healing and love for others.

I started wearing glasses in the 3rd grade and my vision started deteriorating from that point. Each year my eyes got worse, I found myself having to go see my eye doctor every six months to get a stronger prescription. By the time I was 16 years old, I was considered legally blind without contacts or glasses. My grandmother suggested I attend Dr. Wang’s seminar and from his speech I was introduced to the idea of the 3D LASIK surgery to correct my vision. After my evaluation, Dr. Wang concluded that I would be a perfect candidate for this procedure and now I am contact and glasses free!
