Dr Wang's Biography

From Darkness to Sight shares the remarkable life journey of Dr. Ming Wang, a world-renowned laser eye surgeon and philanthropist. It is an inspirational story of how one man turned fear, poverty, persecution, and prejudice into healing and love for others.

Determined not to give up, my Mother and my Father suggested I visit Wang Vision Institute for a second opinion. Upon first observation Dr. Wang’s partner physicians accepted the challenge that in my case it would take a near miracle to correct my 20/400 vision. They explained that while Lasik could correct my vision up to 70%, there was a second, but more invasive option that could result in an even better outcome called refractive lens exchange. Despite initial apprehension, when Dr. Wang met with me himself and explained the benefits of the RLE surgery, I knew that it was the right procedure for me. Barely 24 hours after completing my surgery I feel so blessed to share my experience as I sit here, paper and pen in hand and without the aid of contacts or glasses. To me it seems that with his extreme knowledge, incomparable attention to detail, and faith in God, Dr. Ming Wang and his group have achieved what I thought to be the impossible. I now look forward to continuing my education so that like Dr. Wang, I too can help others by becoming a part of the healthcare field. THANK YOU to Dr. Wang and to all the members at Wang Vision YOU HAVE CORRECTED MY VISION AND CHANGED MY LIFE!
